With the launch of its new docking + interfacing product category measuring + testing systems in 2018, esmo semicon introduced three innovative tools: the contact resistance measuring tool, the pogo tower planarity + pin compression measuring tool, and the pitch point checker.
We are now expanding our measuring + testing systems portfolio with our all-in-one pro, the combo checker tool.
The combo checker tool has been designed for easy installation and operation due to its pogo-tower-like design. It may be used with existing test applications for checking the x-/y-/z-alignment between pogo tower and boards.
Being equipped with four 1.2 megapixel cameras (with USB 2.0 connections), the combo checker tool will perform real-time monitoring of x-/y-/z-setup adjustments. With its screen display of four live camera pictures, it will render precise real-time feedback on docking adjustments. It furthermore provides four distance sensors for diagonal/cross measuring with a 0.05 mm measuring tolerance. All measuring results may be saved and transmitted to a PC.
Our combo checker tool allows for reliable and precise board position measuring while the test head is docked – the use of imprint indicator tape or plasticine will no longer be required. It eliminates any pogo tower and/or docking open contacts as well as an increased contact resistance, thus facilitating troubleshooting significantly.
An integration or stationary installation in some pogo towers is possible – feasibility analyses for any pogo tower will be made available upon request.
