From May 18 to 20, 2026, esmo semicon participated in the ADVANTEST VOICE Developer Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. Representing the company at the event were Bert Bustamante, President esmo US, and Josef Weinberger, Business Unit Leader esmo semicon.
As part of the Partner Expo, esmo semicon showcased its portfolio of interface and handling solutions designed to support ADVANTEST test systems. Visitors had the opportunity to explore current product highlights and technical solutions while engaging in direct discussions with the company's experts at the booth.
A key focus this year was on esmo semicon's automated manipulators – high-precision systems essential for test head positioning in semiconductor testing. Featured products included the ares evo with autodock and autosetup options, as well as the titan with autodock and autosetup capabilities.
The ares evo is the world's first final test manipulator capable of fully automated positioning across all axes (x, y, z, and multiple rotational axes). The autodock function enables one-button positioning with force-based stop control and absolute value encoders ensuring precise and repeatable results. The autosetup option uses a vision camera system for automatic detection of test equipment position, significantly reducing setup time and potential alignment errors – particularly beneficial when test equipment is frequently replaced.
The titan is a robust universal manipulator designed for various load capacities (up to 1,100 kg) and suitable for a wide range of testing configurations. Its autodock and autosetup options also enable fully automatic positioning without manual intervention. The spring-assisted winch system eliminates the need for counterweights and significantly reduces floor load.
Both systems eliminate manual operation, reduce test cycle times, minimize human error, and improve overall efficiency in semiconductor production. In addition, handler solutions were presented that enhance the efficiency and reliability of the entire test process.
The ADVANTEST VOICE Developer Conference is one of the industry's most important platforms for test engineers and technology partners worldwide. It provides a space for technical exchange, networking, and the collaborative advancement of next-generation semiconductor test strategies.
"We had numerous valuable discussions with customers and partners from the industry," said Bert Bustamante. "The response to our solutions was very positive, and we were able to secure concrete inquiries for future projects."
esmo semicon is proud to be part of this international network and to contribute to the continuous advancement of semiconductor testing technologies with its products.
