esmo trainees' field trip 2021

together on tour

After last year's break, owing to the then prevailing situation, all 15 esmo group trainees arrived at the company site on Thursday, 9 September 2021, punctually at 08.00 hours to start into an eventful day.

Together with their training supervisor Florian Zosseder and trainer Georg Fischbacher, the group of aspiring industrial technicians, mechatronics technicians, IT specialists for digital networking, and technical product designers cheerfully set off.

This year's field trip destinations were the climbing park in Prien am Chiemsee, Germany, and the old salt mine in Bad Reichenhall, Germany, where even nowadays brine is being extracted.

However, before the challenge of the second destination, 72 steps down and deep into the ancient tunnels of the salt mine, would be taken, the first challenge of the climbing park in Prien, right at the Lake Chiemsee, and its dizzying heights had to be mastered.

Here, the esmo youngsters were able to demonstrate their climbing skills and sometimes even test their limits: with mutual support, motivation, and assistance, the young troop mastered the 13 climbing paths at heights of up to 14 meters and direct views of the picturesque Lake Chiemsee with excellence and enthusiasm.

After almost three hours of athletic and mental challenge, the group headed to the Prien town center for lunch at the Wieninger Bräu inn.

Well-fed and well-rested again, they continued on to Bad Reichenhall, Germany, after their lunch break, for a technical tour of the old salt mine. Everyone was particularly impressed by the still perfectly functioning mechanics in the gallery construction, and especially by the huge water wheels, each with a diameter of 13 meters, which have been turning non-stop since 1850.

Summing up the day: a great trip with lots of interesting information and impressions.

By the way, on 1 September 2021, four new trainees – Marinus Schlosser as an industrial technician, Simon Hartl and Nils Markl as mechatronics technicians as well as Andreas Schikowsky as a technical product designer – started their professional careers with the esmo group.

The esmo group trainers Florian Zosseder, Georg Fischbacher, and Christian Herzig are dedicated to supporting the young professionals on their way into working life as well as to optimally prepare them for their future careers. Just like conveying profound and extensive practical and theoretical knowledge, they have committed themselves to encouraging the personal development of their young colleagues.

The entire team of the esmo group welcomes its four "newcomers", wishes them a successful start into their professional lives, and looks forward to a great time working together.
