Team esmo at the Rosenheim Cycling Marathon 2026

A down start, a battle against the heat, strong team spirit

The Rosenheimer Radmarathon has become a fixed date in the calendar for many cyclists. And it is increasingly a tradition at esmo as well. This year, 15 colleagues from esmo AG lined up at the start on Sunday 28 June 2026, split across two routes: six riders on the 96 km gravel tour and nine riders on the 112 km road course. With a staggered start between 06:30 and 07:30, the goal was clear: get rolling early – before the heat peaked.

And the heat did peak: With temperatures reaching 38°C, the event became a test of endurance, smart pacing, and constant hydration. Those who were able to continue reached the finish around midday. For one or two, however, the safest decision was to stop in the final kilometres as conditions became too demanding.

More than finish times, the day was defined by how the team rode: looking out for one another, adapting pace, taking breaks when needed, and offering support. There was also one crash, fortunately resulting in only a minor hand injury; a reminder that safety matters even more when the conditions are tough. Overall, it was a day that shows how much is possible when you’re in it together.
