On Sunday, June 29, 2025, the Rosenheim Cycling Marathon celebrated its 32nd edition – a must-attend event for many cycling enthusiasts in the region. For esmo AG, participation in this event has become a beloved tradition. This year, 15 colleagues from Order Processing, Design Engineering, Software Development, Production, and Assembly took on the athletic challenge.
The day began in the early morning, with our team setting off in their signature blue esmo jerseys featuring the iconic mountain silhouette. Participants chose between two route options: the “Tour” route, covering 110 kilometers with 1,050 meters of elevation gain, and the “Gravel” route, spanning 67 kilometers with 990 meters of altitude.
Whether riding on paved roads or rugged trails through forests and fields, both routes demanded stamina, focus, and determination.
The summer conditions added an extra layer of difficulty: with humid air and temperatures exceeding 30 °C (86 °F), every meter uphill was a real test of endurance. On top of that, a few technical mishaps – one broken pedal and two flat tires – caused brief but unavoidable stops along the way. Still, the team spirit remained high: thanks to mutual support and plenty of perseverance, all participants crossed the finish line safe, proud – and visibly exhausted.
A big round of applause to our colleagues for their dedication, endurance, and sportsmanship – uphill, downhill, and everything in between.
As in previous years, esmo AG supported the event by providing branded jerseys and covering part of the registration fees.
We’re already looking forward to the next edition of the Rosenheim Cycling Marathon – with fresh energy, renewed motivation, and hopefully fewer mechanical issues!
