As part of this year’s International Sales Meeting, the esmo group brought together all members of its finance departments from all locations for a joint meeting for the first time. Nicole from Shanghai, Diana from Roseville/California, Serene from Singapore, and Kathy, Natalie, Johannes, Titus, Christian, and Ralf from Rosenheim used the occasion for an intensive professional exchange.
The agenda focused on key topics related to financial processes and the collaboration between the international sites. Participants reviewed existing workflows and interfaces from the perspective of each location, discussed potential adjustments, and identified concrete opportunities to streamline and harmonise processes.
Alongside the celebrations for the company’s 25th anniversary – including the Open House Day and Celebration Night – a joint excursion to Lake Chiemsee and Herreninsel formed one of the highlights of the week. In hot summer weather, the team explored the palace gardens of Herrenchiemsee and took part in an expert guided tour of the palace in English. The guide’s clear and precise use of the language left a strong impression on everyone. The day concluded with a shared lunch in the chestnut garden of the Augustinian monastery on Herreninsel.
All participants agreed that meeting in person, sharing perspectives and spending time together significantly deepened mutual understanding and strengthened the connection between the international finance teams. Based on this positive experience, similar meetings are planned for the future.
