On 23 April 2026, esmo AG once again took part in Girls’ Day and welcomed three students from grades 8 and 9 to gain practical insights into our apprenticeships as an industrial mechanic and a mechatronics technician.
After a short introduction, the focus quickly shifted to hands-on work in the workshop. The students tried key manufacturing activities such as turning, milling, filing, drilling and marking-out. A highlight this year was the opportunity to also experience welding, giving the participants an additional perspective on metalworking processes.
To conclude the day, the students completed two take-home projects they built themselves: the “esmo SUPER Six” dice game and a small LED lighting PCB. Throughout the day, they were supported by our current apprentices, who provided guidance, explained each step clearly and ensured a safe and motivating learning environment!
Girls’ Day is a valuable opportunity to make technical careers tangible and to support young people in their career orientation.
That’s why we’re already looking forward to taking part again next year. Signing up early is well worth it.
