Dragon Boat Race Embraces Team Spirit + a lot of Fun

Last Saturday, September 23, 2023, our team faced an exhilarating challenge at this year's Dragon Boat Race on the Mangfall River in Rosenheim. A total of 44 enthusiastic groups, including fun and corporate teams, took to the water, and esmo's team was once again in the mix, although with a slightly more compact formation than usual.

The art of dragon boat racing lies in synchronizing up to 16 paddlers and a drummer to bring the slender boat to its maximum speed towards the finish line. This requires not only physical strength but also perfect coordination and endurance. Our esmo team triumphed over this challenge after intensive preparation on Simssee and the Mangfall.

We set sail as the 36th dragon boat at 12:00 PM and once again at 02:40 PM, displaying immense dedication and determination. While our performance landed us in the 31st place, our primary focus was on enjoying the event and fostering team spirit, both of which were at the forefront on that day.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who organized this event over the weeks, the tireless participants in our training, those who powered our dragon boat to victory, and the spontaneous paddlers who filled in. Of course, special gratitude is owed to all who vocally supported and cheered for our team from the shore.

At esmo, unity takes precedence, as this unforgettable experience once again demonstrated.
