IHK Scouts @ esmo

For over two years, Kilian Fuchs and Denis Deljkic have been working for esmo AG in Rosenheim and the region, visiting schools, attending job fairs, and career information events. At the beginning of their second year of apprenticeship in 2021, the two young men agreed to promote esmo and, in particular, the training opportunities within the company to the public as IHK Scouts.

They were involved in more than 40 engagements, often extending beyond their regular working hours. They provided insights into the professions of industrial mechanic and mechatronics technician to interested students in the 7th and 8th grades in the region. Naturally, they shared their own experiences, which evolved over time and with increasing months and years of apprenticeship. As a result, they became more proficient as ambassadors for esmo and were able to accurately represent the training at our company.

Their success speaks for itself: Today, the esmo AG training workshop and training opportunities are well-known in the region. This is also due to the strong commitment of our trainers Florian Zosseder and Georg Fischbacher in external representation. Unlike many other companies in the area, our apprenticeship positions are usually filled at the beginning of each training year. Many of the new apprentices mention the work of the IHK Scouts and of the training managers at schools and fairs in their applications. We have also attracted numerous new interns who later applied as apprentices.

We thank you, Denis and Kilian, for your outstanding work as IHK Scouts for esmo! Such dedication is not taken for granted, and we appreciate it. It's great to hear that you enjoyed it yourselves, as you have mentioned.

Our new IHK Scout as of now is Patricia Vogt, who has already accompanied Kilian Fuchs and received some tips and tricks from him on how to best interact with students on-site, which questions are usually asked, and what it takes to excel in school activities. Good luck, Patricia, and thank you for taking on this task! We look forward to the next two years, working together with the IHK at schools in our area.
 

About the IHK Scouts:
The IHK Scouts are an initiative of the Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs) in Germany. Their goal is to support young people in choosing their careers and finding apprenticeships. The scouts act as contact persons and mediators between students and local companies. They provide information about training opportunities, professions, and the regional job market. They work closely with schools and teachers to give students practical insights into the working world at an early stage.

The IHK Scouts organize various career orientation events, company visits, and internships. They help students recognize their individual strengths and interests and find the right apprenticeship. The scouts are also available for questions regarding applications and career planning and support young people in creating application documents.

Through their commitment, the IHK Scouts contribute to enabling young people to make well-informed career choices and start their professional lives well-prepared.
