Apprentices' Christmas campaign 2023

esmo AG trainees donate to the Caritas Children's Village Irschenberg

This year, the apprentices at esmo AG once again demonstrated that Christmas is about more than just presents. The second Christmas campaign focused on supporting the Caritas Children's Village in Irschenberg.

As part of the campaign, the company's dedicated junior employees designed and manufactured small Christmas tree metal pendants in red, blue, and silver in the company's own training workshop. These were then offered for sale to colleagues in Rosenheim and Raubling to generate proceeds for the children's village.

The Christmas campaign raised an impressive total of EUR 530, with the management of esmo AG rounding up the amount once again. Additionally, the trainees received active support from Südeloxal, a long-time partner in the surface finishing sector. Südeloxal contributed by providing both material and working time for the free anodizing of the workpieces.

The donation amount was handed over with a symbolic cheque to Hannes Klapos, Head of Administration at the Caritas Children's Village Irschenberg, on January 11, 2024. The donations collected will help support the children at the Caritas Children's Village Irschenberg and create positive prospects for their future.

We would like to express our gratitude to all donors, especially the trainees, the management of esmo AG, and Südeloxal, for their generous support of this important Christmas campaign. The joint efforts not only made a financial contribution but also emphasized the sense of community and helpfulness within the esmo family. We are proud of this initiative and look forward to continuing to make a positive contribution in the future.

About the Caritas Children's Village Irschenberg – A home to grow up in

The Caritas Children's Village in Irschenberg has been making an important contribution to child, youth, and family welfare for over 50 years. As a home for children and young people who cannot live with their biological parents, the children's village not only offers a loving home but also comprehensive educational and school support programs for the entire region.

The Caritas Children's Village Irschenberg is a non-profit organization of the Caritas Association of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising e.V. As a modern youth welfare association, it offers differentiated care and support services as well as varied leisure activities directly on site. The organization sees itself as helping people, regardless of nationality and faith.

Currently, around 80 children and young people find a loving home at the Village Irschenberg. The spacious semi-detached houses offer single and double rooms, while the community center houses rooms for events and administrative offices. The spacious outdoor area with playgrounds and sports fields allows the young residents to enjoy nature together.

The work of the Caritas Children's Village Irschenberg is significantly supported by the charitable organization Caritas Kinderdorf Irschenberg e.V. Every donation directly benefits the children and young people in the children's village, enabling positive and sustainable development for the younger generation.
