Kids Day @ esmo Rosenheim

November 16, 2022 was the Day of Prayer and Repentance. Previously a holiday in Germany when everybody had the day off, today a normal working day when only teachers get the day off – and with them all of their pupils. 

To make things a little easier for colleagues with school-age children, esmo AG organized childcare for the Day of Prayer and Repentance this year (many thanks to the team of "sostegno", Neubeuern).

16 girls and boys between the ages of 6 and 12 were able to play, do handicrafts, paint, design plates, string beads and much more in the largest esmo meeting room. Of course, they were also curious to see what and where their mums and dads work every day. 

Georg Fischbacher, surpervising trainer of the mechatronics technicians, took the children on a tour of the entire company. From purchasing, to the warehouse, to design, to the milling shop, to production and assembly – he explained all the things that are developed, designed and built at esmo in Rosenheim. 

Later in the day, the children went to the apprentice workshop to meet the trainees Jonathan Baumgart and Denis Deljkic. They showed the kids how to solder, wire, mill, file and drill. Of course, Georg Fischbacher and Florian Zosseder (training manager) were also there. Small workpieces were produced: star tea light holders (milled), electronic crawling animals (wired + plugged) and self-luminous Christmas glitter balls (soldered). Of course, the kids could take these home afterwards.

All in all, it was a really nice and successful day. And who knows, maybe one or the other has taken a liking to esmo and will join us later. But until then there is still a little time...
