Kids Day @ esmo Rosenheim 2024

19 boys and girls of employees visit esmo

Since 1995, the Day of Repentance and Prayer has no longer been a public holiday in Germany – with one important exception: Schools and school-aged children still have the day off. For many parents, including our colleagues, this presents a unique challenge every year.

To support our employees, we at esmo AG have turned this day into a special event for the third time: the "Kids @ esmo" day. In collaboration with "sostegno" from Neubeuern, we organized free childcare – and it was a resounding success. Again.

An Exciting Day at the Company

A total of 19 children aged 5 to 12 spent November 22 with us, getting an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the company and engaging in creative activities.

Starting at 7:30 a.m., our two largest meeting rooms transformed into creative wonderlands: crafting and painting, applying tattoos and stickers, playing, and reading – the variety of activities was endless and well-received. But the highlight for the kids was exploring their parents' workplaces.

A Peek Behind the Scenes

Georg Fischbacher, our mechatronics trainer, guided the young visitors through various departments – from procurement and storage to design, milling, production, and assembly. The children were particularly fascinated by the machines currently being tested, marveling at their movements in action.

Hands-On Creativity

In the training workshop, the children then had the chance to craft small components under the guidance of our apprentices Elias Braun, Raphael Brettschneider, Sophie Storp, Leon Wimmer, Patricia Vogt and Nils Markl. Their creative projects included CNC-milled nutcrackers, illuminated Christmas baubles, solar-powered windmills, and battery-powered propeller vehicles.

Tradition with Future

The "Kids @ esmo" day has become a cherished tradition, delighting both children and parents alike. It was inspiring to see how curious the children were about their parents' workplaces and projects. Some even stayed after the official end of the day to explore – and test – the machines further with their fathers.

Overall, the day was a great success, offering the children a unique glimpse into the working world of esmo AG. We’re proud to have sparked the curiosity of the next generation – and who knows, maybe one day we’ll welcome one of these kids as part of our team.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this unforgettable day possible!
